Odin has been retained by the Borough Council of Wellingborough to project manage the delivery of a series of key assignments.
These include:
Croyland Road
Odin was tasked to co-ordinate the demolition of a redundant council swimming baths and look at its re-development prospects. Following a public consultation which generated over 1,000 responses, the future use of the baths has now been crystallized, subject to planning, which will lead to the comprehensive development of the site for health, housing and/or leisure uses. Odin devised and ran the consultation exercise as well as the liaison with key stakeholders prior to bringing forward a development masterplan.
Wellingborough Council, with Odin’s assistance will be bringing the site to the market during 2010.
Castle Ward
An area in need of regeneration on the edge of Wellingborough town centre. The Council owns a significant number of vacant and under utilised plots of land in Castle Ward, and Odin is looking at the prospects of some form of re-development in order to aid the renaissance of the Ward. Sensitive and select consultation with key stakeholders and elected members will result in a development masterplan being brought forward for public scrutiny. Odin have been responsible for the co-ordination of a public consultation to assess local views for the future use and development (if appropriate) of the sites.
Title Registration
Odin coordinated the registration of all the Council’s commercial and occupational land holdings. This involved the management of a team of internal and external consultants to deliver the registration by the end of December 2008. The second phase of this project will involve the linking of all the registered titles to a GIS system to be uploaded onto the Council’s publicly accessible website.
